The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas is pleased to welcome alternative rock band, Deftones, to The Chelsea stage Friday, April 22 with a special guest performance from Gojira. The much-anticipated announcement comes on the heels of the band’s immense success with ten million albums sold worldwide as of 2019.
Emerging from Sacramento in 1988, Deftones created a name for themselves after touring endlessly and promoting their debut studio album Adrenaline. Quickly paving a path to success, the group received creative and critical high watermarks on 2000’s White Pony which later earned them their first platinum certification by the RIAA. Going on to receive a GRAMMY® award for “Best Metal Performance” in 2001 for hit single “Elite”, Deftones continues to be one of the most influential and impactful alternative groups of its presence. As a group the band spans eight full-length releases, which include popular releases “My Own Summer”, “Change”, “Be Quiet and Drive” and “Passenger”.
