Terra Rossa at Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa to Present “A Taste Of Capri” January 9-11, 2020

Terra Rossa, Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa’s classic Italian eatery, brings an unforgettable evening of authentic cuisine from one of Capri’s most renowned establishments, Aurora restaurant and pizzeria, on January 9-11, 2020. Billed “A Taste of Capri” the full menu take-over, crafted by chef Franco Aversa and owner Mia D’Alessio, will feature a special three-day exclusive collaboration at the Summerlin staple.

For more than a century the Aurora restaurant and pizzeria has been a celebrity and VIP favorite. Owned by the D’Alessio family, the restaurant gained widespread international acclaim, including features in Gourmet and Wine Spectator magazines, for its excellent Mediterranean cuisine, traditional Neapolitan and Caprese specialties, trademarked Pizza all’Acqua and exquisite wine selection. Each dish contains a sprinkling of culinary innovation, which places the Aurora among the most exclusive restaurants on the island of Capri, beloved by all.

Available to diners at Terra Rossa a-la-carte or as a prix-fixe tasting menu (priced at $60 per person / $85 per person with wine pairings, excludes tax and gratuity) featured dishes during this special event include starters such as traditional chilled gazpacho, hearty pasta e fagioligrilled octopus paired with green beans and potatoes, and lobster salad with raw vegetables and oil of olive and lemon. A selection of homemade pasta dishes like linguini with lobster and fresh tomatoesgnocchi with pestobaked meat cannelloni and many more will also be served. Diners may also enjoy a selection of fresh Caprese fish, including a filet in potato crust with spinach soute and traditional grilled Branzino with vegetables. Meat lovers can savor a selection of veal for the carne course, with Milanese and piccata preparations. Fresh fired pizzas will also be on the menu, including the Aurora specialty with tomato, mozzarella and eggplant; a version with Prosciutto and mushrooms, and an elegant Margherita. The meal will be topped off appropriately, with a variety of sweet Italian confections for dessert.

In addition to indulging in exquisite coastal cuisine and meeting one of Italy’s most adored culinary personalities, guests of “A Taste of Capri” will also take home a complimentary batch of handmade limoncello, a classic delicacy from the Italian coast.
