It was a year of celebration as couples from around the world came to Las Vegas to marry in the Wedding Capital of the World™. Weddings in Las Vegas are on the rise in the past several years with 2022 being a banner year, issuing 79,279 marriage licenses and marrying 77,574 couples. Clark County Clerk Lynn Marie Goya anticipates even more couples to head this way in 2023 as a host of specialty dates are on the calendar this year.
Specialty wedding dates are always a draw for couples getting married, no matter what part of the world they hail from, and 2022 was a host to numerous dates, including 2-22-22 where 2,341 couples were married on that date alone ringing it in as the sixth most popular wedding date in Clark County history. 2022 also recorded the 5-millionth marriage license in County history where the couple who received the historic marriage license won a host of prizes from various wedding and romance vendors throughout the county.
“The growth we’re seeing in both the specialty wedding dates and the year overall is something of which I am extremely proud. Las Vegas has long been hailed as an easy, stress-free wedding destination that’s made us the Wedding Capital of the World. Our wedding industry ensures that rings true to this day,” said Clerk Goya. “We have a host of fun wedding dates around the corner with Valentine’s Day and more and we look forward to welcoming those couples who are making their wedding trip to Vegas.”

Valentine’s Day is always one of the most popular dates of the year and while it’s on a Tuesday this year, chapels are ready for couples to wed en masse. The Marriage License Bureau once again opened its Pop-Up Marriage License Office at Harry Reid International Airport from February 2-14, 2023, to make it an even easier experience for those coming to marry in Vegas during that time. Popular February dates include:

March – the 3rd Month of the year!
The stars and numbers align this March as the third month of the year in the 23rd year of the century. As the weather starts to warm up so do our couples’ desires to come and marry in Las Vegas for the beautiful outdoor weddings be it on a gazebo, golf course or out in the beauty of nature like Red Rock National Conservation Area. April
