Downtown Container Park, Downtown Las Vegas’ open-air shopping center & entertainment venue celebrates Small Business Saturday with an all-day celebration including tenant specials, live art and a special holiday guest appearance.
On Saturday, November 28th beginning at 10 a.m., spreading joy looks a little different this year. Downtown Las Vegas’ flourishing small business hub will host a socially distanced, family-friendly holiday themed event highlighting the many retail, restaurant and creative businesses that call Container Park home. Throughout the day, shoppers and gift-hunters alike can expect to find unique gifts and stocking stuffers all while supporting local Las Vegas businesses and the Downtown Las Vegas community.
Guests of the park can enjoy live art provided by Las Vegas’ art collaborative, ISI Group with music provided by a local DJ. Even Santa Claus is doing his part! Jolly Saint Nick will visit the park this year via live video, right from his home in the North Pole. Families will be able to pose for a photo opportunity with Santa surrounded by holiday décor while whispering their holiday wish lists to the man in charge. Santa will be “zooming” in from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
“There is no doubt that this year has been tough for everyone across the board,” says Container Park General Manager James Gonzales. “Small businesses are proving to be the most affected during the pandemic which makes this year’s Small Business Saturday the most important since the holiday’s inception. 67 cents of every dollar spent at a small business stays within the community.
