Dine Out with Heart at Buddy V’s and Support Children’s Heart Foundation for the Holidays!

Be a big heart and help a little heart this holiday season by supporting the Children’s Heart Foundation’s ‘Adopt a Heart Family’ program.  For the second year in a row, the popular Italian restaurant, Buddy V’s Ristorante, designed a prix fixe menu to raise money for the children’s organization during the holidays.  Due to the financial toll having a child with a congenital heart defect takes on a family, the Adopt a Heart Family program is often times the only way these families will have a holiday.  This holiday season, Las Vegans have great options to spread holiday cheer to all of Vegas’ heart families including adopting a family directly or enjoying a holiday meal at Buddy V’s. 
 
For Buddy V’s Executive Chef Bryan Forgione, the Children’s Heart Foundation is personal.  Forgione’s youngest son CJ was born with a congenital heart defect that required surgery within the first year of life.  Now five years old, CJ is the family’s heart hero and the driving force behind Chef Forgione’s desire to give back this holiday season.  Guests can dine and give back now through Friday, Dec. 11 knowing that $4 of every meal will go to Children’s Heart Foundation.  The prix fixe dinner is $34 for lunch and $39 for dinner.  All funds raised will be donated to Children’s Heart Foundation and their ‘Adopt a Heart Family’ program.  Buddy V’s is currently open Friday – Sunday noon-5 p.m. for lunch and dinner is served seven days a week Sunday – Thursday 5-9 p.m. and Saturday & Sunday 5-10 p.m.

Grilled Salmon – Mediterranean chickpea & artichoke salad, roasted tomato vinaigrette, balsamic

My Mother-in-Law’s Shrimp Scampi – tomatoes, spinach, garlic, white wine, lemon, pecorino

For those who wish to give an entire family hope for the holidays, they can contact Children’s Heart Foundation by email at chfn@chfn.org, online at www.chfn.org, or phone at 702-967-3522 to adopt a family.  They will then be matched with a family and provided a wish list of items to choose from.  After gathering the goodies, including a $50 grocery card for the family’s holiday meal, return all items to the organization for distribution by Friday, Dec. 11.  Distribution begins Monday, Dec. 14.   
 
Shoppers can also donate to the Children’s Heart Foundation by adding them to their Amazon Smile account in which a percentage of each Amazon purchase will go directly back the organization.  Children’s Heart Foundation takes donations throughout the year including gift cards and toys for Maggie’s Garden, monetary donations to help with transportation and lodging, and more.  Additional donation opportunities can be found online at www.chfn.org.
